Introducing the Year of the Snake (YOTS) Patch Set, the 7th exclusive installment in our highly anticipated Carryology Artist Series!

It all started with our first official Carryology trip to Japan this past February. We were meeting with brands in Tokyo, Kyoto, Minokamo, and Yokohama. As well as hosting a Carryology meetup event at the Snow Peak Land Station shop in Tokyo and then another meetup at the end of the trip at Suburban in Hong Kong. To commemorate this trip, we set out to create some patches, which we would give out for free. Three colorways; one for the Tokyo meetup, one for the Hong Kong meetup, and one to gift to all the brands we had our scheduled meetings with.

The inspiration for the "Year of the Snake" design struck us in November 2024. The timing felt perfect, and we knew this motif would perfectly commemorate our journey. To bring our vision to life, we collaborated with our incredibly talented friend, Mr. Dan Matsuda, owner and designer at SAMPLE. Dan’s exceptional vision and execution consistently deliver top-tier results, making him our go-to partner. He took our concept and, after a few rounds of refinements, created a design we were all thrilled with.

The response to these initial giveaway patches was overwhelming – everyone loved them! The only problem was, they were gone almost as soon as we handed them out. We received a flood of emails and direct messages asking where to get them, and the answer was always the same: they were impossible to acquire.

But we heard you! We decided to make these sought-after patches available to everyone, and even better, we’ve refined them for this public release.
